LineageOS 16 now officially supports Essential Phone

Essential Phone is one of the best equipment to provide technical support, although it has gone through a difficult process since its release in 2017. In the past, there has been some informal Lineage porting on devices. The latest LineageOS 16.0 ROM version is now ready for Essential Phone users to download. Essential Phone has been supported by Android Q Beta, but now with more custom ROM options.

If you are a champion of pure third-party ROM, your Essential Phone can now join the nightlies program and get all the benefits that Lineage brings. The first version is 684MB. If you want to download and brush into the LineageOS 16.0 custom ROM version, you need to make sure you have enough space to do this. Although support for third-party ROM is not a big deal, it’s the second good news for fans of the device, after the emotional CEO, Andy Rubin, made comments which implied that there will be a second Essential Phone. It runs a pre-installed Android Nougat OS and its lights are kept on by a non-removable Li-Ion 3040 mAh battery.
